Default Registry

Hi, i am currently using a workgroup network. My query is
regarding editing the registry values. On some computers
on the network, the right clik is disabled, control panel
hidden etc.

Do i have to go individually into each computer's
registry and make the relevant changes, or is there an
easier way to do this.(ie apply the same settings for all
the machines). As there are quite a few machines, this
task can take up a long time.

Also, why do we have to make the same changes in 2
seperate folders in the registry eg, local machine and
system?

regards

You can make the changes on one PC, then export the value or key and save it
as a registry (REG) file. You can then deloy this across your network.using
tools from the resource kit, batch files or third party software.

You shouldn't be making the changes in local machine and system unless they
are different. Changes in local machine are applied when the computer
boots; changes in current user are applied when the computer logs on.
