Default microsoft games

Hi
I am having 2 problems with games,firstly, solitaire
performs an illegall operation & will be shutdown, & I
have got microsoft games impossible creaturesII, just
installed, when I try to start it I get a message that
says A required .DLL file MSVCR70.DLL, Was not found.
PC is celeronII 133mhz, 192mb ram,
Any help with these would be very much appreciated

Further to 1st post I am running win98 (think it's 1st

edition) & these probs only started after format &
reinstall if that helps

The file if it is on your system will be located at C:\Windows\System , you may have to register the
file. You could also try extracting it from a CAB file via SFC:

StartRun(type)SFC(enter)
or
WIN+R(type)SFC(enter)

If it is not on your system, nor can be found in a CAB, try: http://www.dll-files.com/

and unzip it to your Windows\System folder.

the Solitaire error -
When you get an "illegal operation" error message,=20
click the "Details" button,=20
and post back with the exact details word for word,=20
up to but not including the memory registers.

See if any of these apply to your error situation:

Re solitaire error, this is the message in the box:-
SOL caused a general protection fault
in module KRNL386.EXE at 0002:00003077.

I have checked the KB articles, but nothing there seems to
apply in this case, I don't have AOL messenger, nor bonzi
buddy installed, any other ideas?
