Default Two DVD R/RW drives ok?

On my Compaq Presario 7AP 190, I have a DVD R/RW drive,
and an old (2000) CD R/RW drive which has just failed.
This may be a silly question, but is there a reason I
shouldn't buy another DVD R/RW drive to replace the
failed drive? For instance, will the driver have any
problem operating two of these at once? The extra
flexibility in being able to handle either CD or DVD on
either drive could be useful (no, I'm not about to
pirate DVDs ). Oh yes, as asking in this group
should imply, I use Win98 SE.

Thanks.

There should be no problem with installing a second DVD drive instead of a
CD drive.
