Default New hard disk?

Hi,
My HD is almost full, leaving about 10% free and I begin to get error =
signs from the PC. Its maximum size is 15 Go.
I have W98 running on a PIII 450 Mhz. The obvious option would be to =
change for a new bigger disk. But I am told W98 limits memory size to 30 =
Go. Could I get more if I upgraded windows to WXP ?=20
With thanks for advice.
Phil

Be careful not to confuse memory with disk space.

Windows 98 supports disks up to 64Gb in size without any issues, and can
support disks up to 137Gb with some upgraded components.

You should not have to replace your existing disk. If you add a 40, 80 or
120 Gb disk then you can move a lot of stuff off the existing disk. This is
a trivial exercise, assuming that there is room in the case and you
currently have less than 4 drives (hard disk, CD, DVD). You might consider
installing the new disk as the primary (boot) disk if it created a
significant improvement in performance, but this is a slightly more complex
exercise.

You might be disappointed with the performance of XP on a 450Mhz machine.
