Default deleting folder on backup D drive(CPQDRV)

I royally messed up my Works2000 and cannot remove nor reinstall it, and
cannot install a new Works program because it detects the old one. Can I
delete the folder from CPQDRV without messing up anything else and would this
remove all traces of Works2000?

First / start / run / REGEDIT.COM
1. Export the Registry to a REG file
so you can reimport it if you need to.
2. Search for all keys for WORKS2000 and
delete them.

Thank you for your response, but been there, done that. When I try to install
Works 7.0, it detects an older version so I must not have gotten everything
even though "find" isn't "finding" anything else. Any other suggestions will
be greatly appreciated.

If it is not Registry that tells Win98 you have
(had) Works2k installed, it must be one of the
SYSEDIT files -- which should be easy to search and edit.

Maybe so, but I do not know how to do that. Could you possibly give me
instructions? And again, thank you for your continued assistance.

Thank you for responding. I tried sysedit and used the find search with no
luck. There was nothing found for Works2000; works2000;works; nor wks. Any
other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
