Default Problems with network printer

I recently had to connect to another computer by mapping its drive via the
network. After doing this, I lost my network printers. After trying to
reinstall them. When I try to add the printer, the computer tells me that the
printer is offline. Teh other printer got an error in the installation.
Before adding the network map, I had no problems with these printers. On a
side note, I find that it takes me a long time to open up my network folder.

Can anyone point me in the right direction on what to try?

Thanks in advance

Johnny
