I guess I should throw in a plug for NTFS as being the more advanced system.
(But I'm still on FAT32, and that's where I'm staying (for at least one good reason to me - so I can still fallback to a DOS boot disk - but for most people, this may not be too important) Bill in Co. wrote: dan wrote: Which file system is better for use with 98SE ?; Fat 32 or NTFS ? Ooops, you're' right!! I was thinking of XP - when given the choice to
set it up using FAT32 or NTFS. Must be the drugs. :-) Richard in AZ wrote: "Bill in Co." wrote in message ... dan wrote: Which file system is better for use with 98SE ?; Fat 32 or NTFS ? And why ? Well, since Windows 98 cannot use NTFS, I would say that makes FAT32 the
superior choice. -- Richard G. Harper [MVP Shell/User] * NEW! "Bill in Co." wrote in message ... I guess I should throw in a plug for NTFS as being the more advanced system. That would be inappropriate, confusing and misleading, given that this is a Windows 98 group. Regardless of good intentions, general comments get misconstrued and misunderstood when offered up in the wrong forum. |

DOS can read NTFS, there are drivers available e.g. from sysinternals.com - has anyone tried using them under Win98? -- __________________________________________________ _____ HELP!
