Default Windows 98 Installation CD

I bought my computer secondhand...that was 3 years ago. It
did not come with a Windows 98 Installation CD, and I now
find that I need it-----any ideas how I can get one??

Windows installation CDs are often available on e-bay or through the on-line
computer software stores. The OEM version is often cheaper, but it is
designed for installation to a new hard disk drive only and might not work
as an upgrade. A full retaill CD is the most expensive, but also the most
useful.

Use Find-Files & Folders. Search for WIN98*.CAB

Do you find several dozen in a folder" With names like WIN98_05.CAB,
WIN98_06.CAB, etc.? If so, that folder replaces your Windows installation CD
as the source for installation files. If at all possible, you should burn
that folder to a CD and also find the ProductKey value from your Registry
in:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion

Otherwise, if no such files found (or only a few), then it's as Jeff
suggests. Buy a new CD.
