Which DOS mode are you referring to? The one gotten to by clicking Start Shutdown
Restart in MS-DOS Mode? If that is the case, try in this order: 1) Boot up and when you get to the C: prompt (DOS), type EXIT and press Enter. 2) If that does not reboot you to Windows, at the C: prompt (DOS), type the following and press Enter: win /wx (That's W I N space / W X ) 3) If that does not fix it, rename the autoexec.bat and config.sys files= Type the following and press Enter after each line: CD\ REN autoexec.bat autoexec.ba_ REN config.sys config.sy_ Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to restart. Post back with your results. -- Glen Ventura, MS MVP Shell/User, A+ http://dts-l.org/ http://dts-l.org/goodpost.htm "asblew" wrote in message news how do i get my computer out of the dos mode? -- asblew |
