Heather I'm sure I read it somewhere that Rogers had dropped their news
servers as well, I could be wrong and I can't remember where I saw it but
thought I'd let you know g

See....stopping smoking has improved your memory retention.....but then
again, Joanie is SO much older.....ROFL!!

Yep.....seems Usenet is on the way out, according to the 2 biggest ISP's
in Canada. They forgot to tell the customers tho. PaBear gave me some
links to try for freebie ones.

lol Haven't caught you up yet though g I didn't think it was about
usenet that you left Rogers though, and it's only in the last few days
that I read about it, or did I mix the two up :-(

No it was only in the last few days that I read about it, mind you it
looks as if I might have been mixing them up g

Poor thing.....losing it at such a young age (for an old broad, really).

I left Rogers coz they stopped supplying free Usenet. Sympatico said
they were going to keep on supplying it. They LIED to me. Shame on
them. It is not a good thing to lie to me.......I have put a hex on
their company!! (eg)

We could alway put you on dial-up with nbtel. They still have Usenet
groups...

Hey J J.....heading down to PEI for a week and then driving to
Halifax....but will stop for a couple of days on the Bay of Fundy.
Guess I will have to yell across that so you can hear me......LOL!!

No NB on the route this year coz we are flying and then renting a car in
Charlottetown. Daughter is joining us and we will *tromp thru the
tombstones* together.....she wants to 'see her roots' on the Island.
