Default cannot boot into Windows me

I believe I have lost my operating system - I do a safeboot and it shows no
programs running. with a regular boot up the only progam that shows running
is "bcmdmmsg" - My question is - if I go to the restoration disks and reload
Windows Me will it destroy any data on the c drive - will it overwrite the
file? I tried scanreg/restore and got the message that there were no restore
points. go back has no restore points. Please help- thank you

Start by uninstalling or physically removing the Modem you are using.

Restart after that and confirm if the problem persists.
