Can anyone tell me how to locate for downloading the
following file:

MSVCRT40.DLL

which a popup message keeps telling me is missing and is
needed for opening OFFICE.

You should be able to copy the file from the Office CD, to the Windows\System
folder...see here for info:

You will also find it available for download by searching for MSVCRT40 on
www.google.com
