I running Windows Me how to get rid at any times some of those unwanted
icons in the system tray to be displayed....Thankyou

They are programs you have running have a look at this lot to help clear
things.

A good process viewer will tell you everything that is running, to include
background processes. Try Process Explorer, free from
www.sysinternals.com
..
CTRL-ALT-DEL will bring up the End Task window, however, it will not show
every running process. Most apps can be disabled from within the app
itself by using Properties or Settings or Options......the best way to
disable an app.

I like that one, but DrWatson comes with the OS so no download time. Use
with caution though. Some registry edititing knowledge required.
