Default Copy specific folders

I have a directory with over 600 folders. I want to copy about 200 of these
folders with names that all start with the letter K(incl all subfolders and
files) I tried xcopy c:\directoy\K???? d:\directory /s/v but it didn't work.
Is their a syntax that will work or is there another way to do a batch copy?
I hate the prospect of draging each individual file.

Default Copy specific folders

Sort the folders by name so all the Ks are together. Select the first one.
Press and hold Shift and select the last one. Drag the selected folders to
the destination drive.

Default Copy specific folders

Sort the folders alphabetically. Left click once the first K folder; hold
down the shift key and left click once the last K folder; right click a
highlighted folder and select copy; and right click the destination and
select paste.
