Default Windows XP Scrolling

I have just installed XP Professional and when I scroll either up/down or
left/right it now does that in a rolling wave form which I do not want.
Has anyone got any idea how to change this as this is not how I have it set
up previous to installing the new software.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Barry
