Default Message to download something in Korean!

Ever since I had my computer in that computer shop, Aug. 29th,2006, I
get a message to download something in Korean! Sometimes webpages. Now
email. I opened an email in Outlook Express and the message was in English.
A square in gray came up wanting me to download it in Korean. I did not
write the stuff down. I clicked cancel. The man that worked on the computer
was Korean. He had downloaded all updates into my computer. He probably
downloaded The one for Korean language. How can I get rid of the download?
Help please someone please!
Angel

Since your serviceman did not return the machine
in the condition for which you paid, it is reasonable
to get him to do so without charge.

In order to identify filenames of self-acting modules,
use Ctl Alt Del when they appear and write down
their names, and the time, and the name of the
app to which you were logged when the popup appeared.
We do not yet know whether they are standalone apps
or modules within something you need, e.g. Explorer.Exe.

Hi,
He would not admit that he did anything wrong and he refuses to fix it.
So he is a lost cause. Also I have told others of what trouble he caused. I
hope they will not take their business to him. Someone gave me another
person to take my computer to. I just have not gotten in touch with him as
yet so far, the group has helped me tremendously. Now I think I have another
problem, a squeaking from the tower periodically. It just started tonight
after I did the first post. Hope it is not serious. your opinion please.

Scan your machine for spyware. A friend recently had a similar
problem, except that in his case the message was in Chinese.

Basically, we don't know what hardware you have in the system with the
resultant cooling. If the noise occurs at a specific time or on a regular
basis, power down the PC and remove to cover and power back up. At this
point you will need to keep children and animals well away from it!!!!
Listen for the noise again and see if you can pinpoint it. It is possibly
the bearings on a cooling fan are starting to dry out somewhere. There will
be fans on the Processor and in the Power supply (maybe more than one
depending on the power supply). If you have a graphics card as against
onboard graphics, there is normally a cooling fan on that as well. You also
may well have additional fans to suck air into the system.
You also should be aware that some Power Supplies vary the speed of the
their cooling fan(s), depending on the temperature of the air being
extracted. They speed up when the air becomes hotter and slow down for the
opposite. Of course, if you have this, running the PC with the cover off
changes the air flow characteristics, so if the problem disappears this may
be a clue. If your PC is on the carpet, you may also want to try running it
on some wooden blocks to see if the increased airflow makes any difference.
Of course it could also be a hard drive speeding up or slowing down - you
will just have to try and pinpoint the problem.

The PC has never been on the carpet. I have it on the desk without
anything blocking the air flow. I will listen more closely the next time the
noise starts to find out where the noise is coming from. I do not think that
a mouse got into the Computer as kimbo suggested. (I think he was kidding).
No place for it to get into it. I will have my grandson check it out when I
see him. He lives in another town and to get him over here, he has to rely
on his dad.
Thanks Alan

I don't *think* it's anything malicious, I think he just enabled some
multi-language option that does this: Prompts to download ML components "on
demand" or "as needed" or something, I'm just drawing a blank on where the
setting is. Part of IE Setup?

Angel, go to Add/Remove Programs and double-click the entry for Microsoft
Internet Explorer 6 and Internet Tools, then choose Add Component. See if
Multi-language support is BOLDed.

I think your right Gary, seem to remember this issue from the original
problems discussed after the screwed up "fix".

Though I seem to remember, the one or two times I installed extra languages
or multi-language support, they were listed in the Add/Remove as seperate
entries [such as Multi-language Support], but then that was a LONG time
ago..
Trying your suggestion here, asks for the MSN Setup CD.. strange,, maybe
the SecCD..
