Default Save or Download a Video Clip from YouTube

Hi,

I use Netscape 7.0 and Flash Player V9 (for Netscape, Opera, etc.).

I saw a very interesting video clip at www.youtube.com. Is there a way
to save or download a video clip you like from that site?

Thanks in advance, Brad

Before you type your password, credit card number, etc.,
be sure there is no active keystroke logger (spyware) in your PC.

Only with software that will save a video file to disk.
So far as I know neither Netscape nor Flash Player
will do this.

The Opera browser saves the flv files (streaming Flash) as .tmp
files (most of the time - sometimes there's a different
extension), once the streaming has ended. You have to look at
the cache, find a suitably large file among the last 30 or so,
check it in a real file viewer (another subject) to see that it
starts with "flv" and save it with that extension under whatever
name is appropriate.

The free Riva FLV player is the only one that plays all the flv
videos I have thrown at it, even though it is far from perfect.
Other players are mainly for web operators or masochists, so
don't waste your time.

Have fun.
