Default DOS Application locking up WIN98

I have a user running WIN98/196M_RAM. She runs a DOS
application via shortcut to a network drive, periodically,
when toggling back to WIN98 it will hang (black screen)
requiring power reset. I have other users running the same
DOS based App. without problems...

Have you tried setting it up to run in MS-DOS mode?

You ought to be able to get the network working in DOS if you haven't
already. You might need to look at the documentation for your network
system to find out how to do this. Assuming you're not in a position to
simply copy the software onto the local hard disk....
