Default Installing on ZIP drive

Hi.

I would like to move my Win98 (original version) installation from the C:
drive to an Iomega ZIP drive. If I format the C: drive and try to install,
the startup disk does not find the ZIP drive. Is it safe to try to install by
running 'setup' from my existing Win98 installation , or would this screw up
the existing installation? In fact, is it possible at all? I would appreciate
information on this.

Thanks.

Default Installing on ZIP drive

If Setup can't find the zip drive then you would not be able to boot to it,
so any other way of doing the install is pointless. You need to create a
boot floppy that installs the required drivers for the zip drive, so that it
is available and accessible when the Setup program is run after booting from
floppy. It's nearly the same process as installing the drivers for the
CD-ROM. The device manufacturer should have the required software and
installation instructions.

You also need to make sure that the drive is configured as non-removable -
the instructions should include this step.
