What does repairing/reinstalling IE have to do with the reinstallation of a system
that is now missing Excel and Spellcheck in OE which so far are the only 2 issues mentioned. The OP was given the machine with an OEM Windows OS and apparently has reinstalled which does not include any Office apps nor does OE have spellcheck. could have to do with "Copy/Paste" generically.
