Thanks,

I've re-posted this in the hope that I'll get some intelligent responses.
Heirloom and Joan don't need to respond since they have nothing to say
worth reading.

Dave,

Here's something you may find worth reading......Your MANUAL, RTFM! The
refresh rate is determined by a number of variables, to include, your video
drivers, graphics card, monitor and others. My monitor allows me access to
that information from a 'menu' button on the front....simple enough, as
originally stated. You want a DOS command to determine your refresh rate???
Here, try this:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...s+refresh+rate
Maybe you will find something "worth reading" in the myriad of hits in the
above link. Of course, nothing I or Joan have to say is worth reading, so,
don't bother reading any of this post........oh, I'm sorry, should have put
this at the beginning of the post....too late now.
Heirloom, old and "bright" is not necessarily
measured in lumens

: Dave,

Hey, hey! Cool it laddie. Heirloom's advice was spot on, but maybe only a
Dell computer offers it? There are a row of small buttons at the bottom of
the monitor screen, one of which is a menu screen and after figuring out how
to use it you can find the current refresh rate and even change it if you
want to.

Just FYI, Justin......mine is not a Dell........it is a MAG Innovision
monitor, ATI graphics card and Asus mobo. There are several routes to
setting the refresh rate.....the easiest being the 'menu' button, of course.
Without digging in the Google search I posted, I am not aware of a DOS
command for such and even less aware of a NEED for such.

The ATI has it's own util for setting that. Usually under display
properties/advanced. There is a way of getting there from the command line,
but usually useless. If one needs to go that far, doing a reset in safe
mode is easier. JMHO.

Spot on, BJ......would be why I mentioned the 'several routes'......but,

Chuckle, I just felt I should try to help the guy, but yeah. I build almost
exclusively with AMD and ATI unless asked for a custom.

My monitor is a Digimate L-1721 but so far I haven't had the need to play
with the controls as my set up is OK for me.

With a post as rude as yours do you honestly expect anyone to now bother
offering you help? I doubt it.
