Default Address Book program

Hello,

I use Win98se,
and I'm looking for a simple freeware (or low$ shareware)
that is a cardfile with adding photos capability.
Meaning that each card can hold info and a photo of
each contact, in a layout similar to a photo I.D. card or
driver's license.
If you are familiar with mIRC, it includes an address
book -exactly- as I'm describing.

I've googled the heck out of this.
Does someone know of an application?

Thanks,
Mike E

No offense, but you are either totally search-engine illiterate
or lying. There are hundreds if not thousands of such programs,
most free, most written for 3.1, 95 and 98. Try again.

Does someone know of an application?

Thanks,
Mike E

Well Thanatoid, I am not search engine illiterate.
And I am not lying.
Did you have to put it that way? I just wanted a simple answer.
I have entered:

rolodex photo shareware photo "address book" "add photo" cardfile
freeware,
and every combination of these and other words I'm missing here.

Can someone please suggest a program,
as if I AM "illiterate"?

Thanks,
Mike E

I need to add something. I certainly DID search google, for hours,
with the simplest and most comprehensive sets of terms I could
think of. I have used google extensively and found hundreds of applications
easily. The only reason I posed this query here is because in this
case I was confounded. I did find three applications that seemed
to say in their summaries that somehow a photo could be embedded
in a dossier page. Each either required XP (unknown untill
attempted installation) or did not do a simple "I.D." style page
(misleading summaries).
If you can remember when you needed help from the gurus
about ANYTHING, you may know the humility I feel to
be reading an inference that I could be "illiterate".

You're too sensitive to be posting on the Usenet. I SAID, "no
offense", didn't I?

To make up for my extreme and inexcusable arrogance, while it's
quite late now, I will try to find a program for you and post
info here in the next few days or so - I am actually a little
busy these days, BION.

If I DON'T find one (or more) I will not only apologize but also
call myself search-engine illiterate. Deal?

thanatoid is not capitalized BTW.

Take care

thanatoid, please understand:
"No offense" doesn't mean anything before you are insulted.
Yes, I am too sensitive to post here. I've seen naive posts from
newbies
who were really asking for it. And they got it - sarcasm and sometimes
even profanity. It didn't help them. They got upset like me, and were
called too sensitive. They probably muddled through.
No, no need to search FOR me. I'll try to look it up again as you
advised. And if I find this thing, I'll be relieved and think twice
about posting any further questions.

I disagree. Still, would it mean something if I had put it AFTER
the "insult"?

Besides, if THAT insulted you I'd hate to see you in a bar
argument after a few drinks. You HAVE been to bar?

Yes, I am too sensitive to post here. I've

OMG! Profanity! As in "darn!"? Are they still alive?

Too late. Already found about five for you, here they are. Of
course, you can be one proud dude and just refuse to click on
the links. It's your life.

OTOH, if you DO look at the progs and like one, it would be NICE
of you to let me know. It WAS one hour out of my (admittedly
worthless and wasteful) life.

This is probably going to be your favorite.

free
It's hard to find, but on the features page it DOES say:
"Contact image. Each contact has an image field. The contact's
image is shown each time the contact's information is
displayed."

free

$25

$29

Of course, there are a variety of ways to use a program without
paying for it... I'll leave it that...
