PPK and hotkey function

Can anyone help!!!

I have a sony vaio...I have been having problems with my
programmable power key (PPK) and hotkey setup..

I have tried to re-install the function but everytime I do
it says error. When I reboot my computer it now says ppk
error driver open !

What does this mean and how can can I get my PPK and
hotkey to work?
