In Safe Mode, delete both Parallel ports and reboot. Windows 98 should
re-detect them at next start-up. "Steven Aspinall" Steven wrote in message ... I tried to hookup a scanner to my printer everytime I try to startup my computer this message appears. Hi Hugh, I connected the printer to the scanner then scanner to the computer. I had the scanport disk for the scanner. I started this morning and almost had it.
got to my sign in screen, signed in then it started to install the ports but froze when it was installing printer port. Close but no cigar. I'm going to try a reboot. should I turn on the printer or leave it off? Thx for your assistance. Steven Aspinall "Hugh Candlin" wrote: Steven Aspinall wrote in message ...
