When I open OU,inbox,,I used to be able to select the
first email and read it,then click on the one underneath
that one and the one underneath would pop up to the number
one spot.

It doesn`t do that anymore.

Anyone know why?

1. What version of OE?
2. What are your View=Current View settings.
3. Please be a bit more exact about what you're doing. I don't know what you
mean when you say, "When I open OU,inbox,,)
4. When you "Read" an email, are you using the Preview pane, or actually
opening the email with a double-click (or keystroke)? Does the message pop
up in a new Window?

I open the inbox, then I click on the first listed message.

it shows in the message window below.

I then click the next message and it used to scroll up to
first position, and show in the message window below like
the first one.

It doesn`t do that anymore.

I tried what Pa sent ,and as I write this,I haven`t got
two or more messages to see if it worked, but I`ll let you
all know.

Your current Identity may be damaged, especially if its the default Main
Identity. Try one or more of your accounts in a new Named Identity
(FileIdentitiesAdd new identity). Assuming all is well, import messages
from the old Identity before deleting it (FileIdentitiesManage
Identities).

Don't use Inbox or Sent Items to archive messages. Move them to local
folders created for this purpose.

Disable Background Compacting and frequently perform a manual compact of all
OE folders while "working offline". More at
http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/files/maintain.htm.

Your anti-virus application's email scanning feature can also cause such
corruption. Disable it. It provides no additional protection.
