Boot to safe mode. If the screen is working in safe mode, change the screen
area in display properties to 640x480 (it will already be there, but change
it anyway) and reboot. Now check out what screen areas work and what don't.

If the screen won't work in safe mode, try a different monitor.

Thanks that worked only problem now is the screen still has a black
line on the right side,
..Every thing shows on screen but there is this black line. I tried fixing the
Monitor but that did not work, is there a way I can set the PC to work with
This monitor. The old one would not work just power on..Are power plugs
interchangeable?
And where can I buy new ones Thanks for your help

The black line down the right hand side suggests that the image is not
centred on the screen. You should use the monitor's front panel controls to
make the image wider and centre it on the screen. Note that not all monitors
have these controls accessible at the front panel.

If you look in the Advanced tab of screen properties you may find a
selection of refresh rates available. Selecting a different refresh rate
will also change the position of the image on the monitor.

Monitor power leads are usually interchangeable.

You can purchase a new monitor at your local monitor supply store.
