Default Desktop fails at boot W86se

Hi
On power on, sytem appears to boot normally untill the destop starts to
display.

Blue background displays, then tool bar at bottom of screen, then desktop
icons display,

Then background goes to white and IMAP error message displays 'Caused an
invalid page faoult in module
OLE32 at 017f:65f4727 ...

When the error message is closed it is replaced by MMTASK, page fault in
OLE32 at same address

Close this, get NISUM same fault at same address
Close this , get EXPLORER same fault at same address

Close this , get Active desktop recovery message and EXPLORER same fault
message.

Close this, desktop goes back to blue background and EXPLORER fault comes up
again.

Subsequent closing of the EXPLORER error just loops back to Explorer message
again.

I have carried out a virus scan of the drive over the network from another
PC, nothing found.

Any pointers?

Thanks
Ian F
