Default Win ME problems

-----Original Message-----
I have 2 computers that were having problems. I
reinstalled Windows ME hoping to fix the problems. Now
one computer became too slow to respond to the

application
programs. The other one encountered dial-up networking
problems. Whenever I try to open it, it just hangs. I
cannot connect to the internet via my provider. It
doesn't dial-up.
.Hello, you say that you reinstalled ME. Before you

installed, did you format your hard drive? If you didn't
remove the ME that was on there before hand, you may have
installed one on top of another. This would slow down
computer and stop programs from running properly. If that
is the case, then all your memory would be used up and
could bring your computer to a hault!
