You first need to know the type of chip, and which board it's *supposed* to
be able to work properly on. To do that, try using Google on any identifiers on the RAM sticks - and check out the specs for the motherboards. When you've found matches, you can try running memory testers from a DOS boot - download DocMemory from www.simmtester.com and create the boot disk. Use this to boot the PC, and run the test overnight to check the RAM thoroughly. See what it reports. -- Noel Paton (MS-MVP 2002-2005, Windows) Nil Carborundum Illegitemi http://www.btinternet.com/~winnoel/millsrpch.htm http://tinyurl.com/6oztj Please read http://dts-l.org/goodpost.htm on how to post messages to NG's "Beau" wrote in message ... Hire a knowledgeble third-party to do it.
N.B. This will not be the least inexpensive way to do it. Create a grid/table with the m/b's on the ordinate and the ram chips on the abcissa, and check all possible combinations. -- Jack E.
