Nope...Nope...Nope...Nope. Restored image, downloaded/installed IE 6. Trouble still in. I think I can say this is not a network problem. It looks like I may have a memory conflict. I'm really on unchartered ground here. I'll have to do some homework on address assignments and ranges. Problem probably belongs in Setup or General newsgroup. In addition to the same old trouble manifestations, when the trouble is in, I've been using NETSCAN.EXE, freeware, to scan the network and it displays the IPs of what is on my network. Initially I was using Netscan from one of my other computers. About two days ago I installed and tried it from the computer with the trouble. Every time I run Netscan on the bad guy, it successfully displays the IPs; however, in the process it generates three "Thread Exception - Access violation at address errors". The first write address is 00000013, read address 1CA6A0CCA that is followed by two more violations in which both address are the same: 46000000 46000000 and 64655274. 64655274. |

@TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl: Well, I done run out of ideas... Sorry! Appreciated your help this past week. I feel you've help me further define what/where the trouble may be. For your info, my next approach, linked to your IE theory, will be to look at( research) all the Security KBs and uninstall them methodically. They are frequently in the area we've been pokin' around. Bye and Thanks |
