Default safe mode

my sister computer is stuck in safe mode because the
power went out for a minute and that caused her sound
card driver to split I think ESS Allegro is under others
can she uninstall her driver and hopefully start windows
in regular mode? It won't go in regular mode and install
her sound card once she is in regular mode and able to
use the internet? Also the CD-Rom doesn't work in safe
mode so she can't use compaq recovery disk to intall the
driver

Thank you I will let her know that. I read somewhere
that also if a driver didn't load up properly it could
cause that. And her sound card drive doesn't seem to be
were it is supposed to be.

Delete the sound card from Device Manager and let it reinstall--she will
probably need a driver for it.
