Auto start programs
I have WinPoet on my laptop for dial-up. When I start my laptop it runs
automatically and then is in my system tray but it is not in my start up folder. I now use a USB wireless connection to access the internet, but I don't want to remove the WinPoET so I can use dial up if my DSL goes down. How can I stop this from running automatically without removing the program or changing the startup in msconfig which then wants to run a selective startup each time. |

WinPoET is designed for broadband connections - not dialup!

Thanks for the insite. I guess that I can just remove the program. Just for
future info, is there a way to stop this from running automatically without removing the program or changing the startup in msconfig which then wants to run a selective startup each time. I've never used WinPoET - try reading the Help files!
Using MSCOINFIG is an option - you need to put a checkmark in the 'DO not show....' box on the first time it reboots - you'll not see the popup again unless you change something else in the startup axis -- Noel Paton (MS-MVP 2002-2006, Windows) Nil Carborundum Illegitemi http://www.crashfixpc.com/millsrpch.htm http://tinyurl.com/6oztj Please read http://dts-l.org/goodpost.htm on how to post messages to NG's Dale wrote in message ... That sounds like a great idea. I think I'll try that before I just delete the
whole program. Thanks! "Noel Paton" wrote: I've never used WinPoET - try reading the Help files!
