Default Streaming video

Cannot stream videos.
Initially lost this ability (and others) from a trojan.
Complete reinstall of Win 98se. W.M.P. 9 and QuickTime
free edition both work well (no issues) in all aspects
except streams. Using IE 6 with all updates. DX 9.0b.
No system device issues. No spyware detected by Spybot.
Nothing in asd, sysedit clean. Dxdiag reports no problems.
