Large file tranfer settings
Win XP SP3 When transferring a number of large files, sometimes file manager in the middle of the transfer announces that the destination no longer (does not) exist, and the transfer stops. Essentially this means for one reason or another, connection with the receiving computer is lost. This is a WiFi LAN. Are there settings that can be made to (the registry or elsewhere) that allow maintenance of connection? Even for the WiFi router, are there threshold/fragmentation/bandwidth, etc. settings to the router that make transfers more stable. In my situation, the WiFi signal to both computers in question is five bars/excellent. Thanks. |
