jsproxy.$s$ jsproxy.dll
I hope this helps you. I found the above noted .$s$ file in my temp file,
then found the corresponding .dll file in both my directory 19 and system files. In properties, I found the .$S$ file to be only 2 days old. I deleted all 3. My win98SE was slow in deleting them. Any experience out there? Google search was not too helpful. There was one website with "blue" and "library in the title that offered a free scam (I mean scan - Freudian slip). Is this a virus? A worm? Is there more I need to search for? I'll try to update if I find anything. I'd be greatly appreciative of any info. I hope this can help somebody else out there. looking forward to your reply, RGP |

I don't know what Directory 19 is, but the one in the TEMP folder was just
that, temporary and it's not at all uncommon for such files to have extensions like you cite. It's compressed and gets decompressed to being the DLL. Or indicates some certain version of the DLL. But that's all irrelevant if you deleted the file. What you need to do now is go to Add/Remove Programs, locate Microsoft Internet Explorer (version number) and Internet Tools. D-Click it and then choose Repair. -- Gary S. Terhune MS-MVP Shell/User http://grystmill.com "RGP" u45503@uwe wrote in message news:88ab24f9b7fe0@uwe... I hope this helps you. Upon further consideration, I believe the $S$ version was created in order
for IE to use it in a safe manner. But I'm awfully interested in what that Directory 19 is all about. How old is it? Can you get a hint of what it belongs to? -- Gary S.
