That should, I'd hope, work assuming your drivers are
compatable with ME. Does the device specifically state that it's =

Windows=20
ME compatable? If not then they may not have drivers for it that will =
work=20
with
the OS though you can often find drivers that have worked for other=20

people
at driverguide.com (registration required) and there's a forum there =

where
you can ask for assistance.=20

I'm having serious doubts about the compatibility of the driver with ME.
I was told a Win 98 compatible driver should also work with ME.
I'll try driverguide.com.
Thanks for your help, Galen.
I'll probably be back trying to figure out how to install a new OS.

A 98 driver generally will work with ME, in my experience I'd say at =
least
95% of the ones that I've used have worked. I'm actually using a 98 =

driver
in XP for my now long since un-supported web cam. I do hope that you're =

able
to find one that works. If you install another operating system I =

highly
recommend XP. One of it's greatest features is so many devices are
recognized automatically. I was amazed when I first installed it and =

saw
that the Zip drive was recognized before the OS was even fully =

installed.
I'd recommend your laptop be at least 700 MHz and that you have at =

least=20
256
MB of RAM though or it will run rather slowly. It will run probably but =

it
will not run very rapidly. I've installed it on CPUs as slow as 350 MHz =

and
128 MB of RAM.

Driverguide.com was no success.=20
Looking at the datasheet at Level1 for the Adapter I've got it really =
looks like=20
there's a driver for EVERY other OS, but not ME.
Only got 128MB of RAM. How will Windows 2000 do on that, do you think?
