Default IE 5 performs illigal operation

No, its not a front page news story, its just that every time i open the above on my newly installed Win98 SE PC, it automatically closes with the illegal message......no idea why - I found that opening Windows Explorer and typing web address in there its fine - Just with IE it happens. Downloaded Firefox and that works well, so may just stay with that!

Just anoying that it happens straight after installation
