There is no such mode TO get out of! Better describe what you see as you try to boot to Windows, & what it looks like in the end. Was there an error message?

There is nothing unusual when windows boots. Norton's Automated Support
Assistant claimed that windows was in audit mode, when product activation would not complete properly. "PCR" wrote: There is no such mode TO get out of! You can either have the Audit disabled by the Automated Assistant or Manually by the instructions in the article. -- Brian A. This is the result usually of someone at the factory forgetting to close audit mode,
or from reinstalling Windows from the hard drive where the OEM's msbatch.inf file is still present. The Automated Support Assistant has found that Windows is running in "Audit Mode": http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT...04092812391039 Click the button on the web page to Automatically disable Audit Mode. OR: Exit all programs. On the Windows taskbar, click Start Run. In the Run dialog box, type the following: regedit Click OK. Navigate to the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion In the right pane, if it exists, select the following value: AuditInProgress Press Delete. Click Yes to confirm the deletion. In the right pane, if it exists, select the following value: AuditMode Press Delete. Click Yes to confirm the deletion. Exit the Registry Editor. I'll be, SOB! Earlier when I went to that article that was all that
showed, the article and it alone. My browsers menu, address and tool bars were not present. I thought Symantec was pulling something and I had to copy the link I provided by right clicking and copying from properties. Now if I use my link and click "Click here" everything is present in my browser, hmmph! -- Brian A. Ahhh, Symantec is pulling something! I found 2 ways to get to their
support articles, 1 way you get the article alone where it expands full screen and only has a close button, the other opens in the browser window. -- Brian A.
