Default safe mode problem

Could someone tell me what causes a computer to boot up in Safe mode instead
of booting into Windows?
Thanks
DJ

Any number of things. Can you provide any other hints, or does it just boot to
Safe Mode with no warning.

As Gary states, a lot of things could be the cause. See if any of the causes here
are responsible:

Windows 98 or Windows 95 Defaults to Safe Mode

The Computer Always Starts in Safe Mode

Glen
Thanks for these articles. I will get them sent to my sister at work and
hopefully she will find the problem.
Thanks so much, DJ

Gary
I am trying to help my sister get her PC up and going again. She is up in
SC and I'm just trying to find some info for her to check out with this
problem. I had received an answer from another group which suggested the
following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base The Computer Always Starts
in Safe Mode Article ID : 306615 http://support.microsoft.com?kbid=306615
I see now that I have received more info on this same article along with a
few more.
Will get these sent to my sisters work place and see if it helps out.
Thanks for your help.
DJ

OK, I understand. It's just that if there are any error messages, etc. before it
continues to boot to Safe Mode, such info can be quite helpful when t-shooting.
