Having trouble replacing my old hard drive with a new one
I am really having trouble replacing my old hard drive
with a new one. I've gotten as far as getting the left side panel off but I can't figure out how to push the drive out through the front without breaking the plastic cover. Any help is appreciated! |

You do not usually remove hard drives through the front of a PC case. Remove
the retaining screws and the cables, them 'reverse' the drive out and remove from the case. -- Cari (MS-MVP Windows Client - Printing, Imaging & Hardware) www.coribright.com wrote in message ... Just a wild guess, but since I don't know what brand pc
you have (not that it really matters), in my experience the hard drive does not go thru the front panel but slides out of a cage. Make sure you have a good 360 degree view of your hard drive and look for any screws attached to the bottom-sides- or top that may have to be removed |
