When I start Windows ME I get this message 4th Master
Disk S.M.A.R.T Status BAD Backup and replace Can anyone
help

Kevin,

You need to read the message and then act on it. Your PC is talking to you,
not the operating system and it is telling you that your hard disk is dying
and you need to back it up and replace it as a matter of urgency before you
lose the files that it contains.
