Adobe Reader Security Hole
Copying this over from the spyware news group.
Mike.....is Foxit the one you are using?? I see a new version is out. Think I will get rid of that bloated Adobe reader and use this one. Cheers......Heather On Thu, 04 Jan 2007 20:50:27 -0500 Boris Mohar wrote: http://www.cbc.ca/technology/story/2.../tech-pdf.html Comments? http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php -- Ernie B. |

Ditto here Joan, only (tiny) feature I miss is the 'Real Out Loud' utility.

A quick comment: Adobe Reader 8 is much lighter and seems to be better integrated in Windows, IE and FF than previous versions. IMHO you should give it a try (it runs only on WinXP). No contest!! BTW - My existing copy of AR v 7.0 is beginning to fail on shut-down of XP. Might just uninstall and forget it. Mart "oops!!" wrote in message ... Same here, Joan. As a WinME user I prefer Foxit, as advised by Mike M. and will go for the updated version, as Heather suggested. Harry. "Joan Archer" wrote in message ... Happy New Year to you as well Mart.
I don't use a PDF reader that much, my phone bill comes in one and I have a few cross stitch patterns needing one. Foxit meets my need without being such a hog, mind you I haven't gotten around to uninstalling Adobe yet, I was waiting to see how I got on with Foxit.
