Default HP or Dell

If you decide to configure a dell go to the following site and get a coupon
code that will save you 10 to 20 % depending on the specials available on
the week you purchase.

Dell Starts a new sale every Thursday and by Friday or Saturday the special
coupon deals appear. You can save your cart and apply the coupon when you
are satisfied with the price. Good luck with your new purchase.

The Coupon site is:

Thanks Gary for the info. You and Curt have given me enough
information to know whatever I choose, either one is a
good choice.

I have to agree with Curt. While I am probably partial to

Dell (more
amenable to customization), my experience is that HPs are

perhaps slightly
better in the dependability rating. My sample is by no

means large, nor have
I spent any great amount of time researching them,

lately. I've never owned
either, though I do have a medium duty HP color LaserJet

printer (with
another probably on the way), and my daughter has a newer

Dell machine. But
among my customers and relations, where the ownership

probably rates 1/3
Dell, 1/3 HP and 1/3 other, the score between the two in

question is about
even--a bit more flexibility with Dell, a bit more

dependability in HPs--if
dependability can be defined by knowing what you're

getting and usually
getting it. Tech support in either is top-notch as a

whole.

In your case, I'd probably weight familiarity as

significant..

In the near future I'll be getting a new desktop
(upgrading).I have a HP now and have been happy with it.
(600MHz)10.2GB hard drive/40 max.CD-ROM 98SE. I only ask
this question because a lot of my friends have said Dell
is a better choice.Any feedback would be helpful

because I
don't know which way to go.I'm sorry if I am in the

wrong
forum group.
