Default qttask

When Windows ME freezes up on me I hit control/alt/delete to see what
programs are running and find qttask. When I stop it running, my PC
unfreezes. I tried to find out about the file on Microsoft and Apple, but no
luck. What does it do?

tyro
qttask.exe produced by Apple, installs a tray bar icon which links to
the Apple QuickTime video streaming tool. This program is a
non-essential system process, and is installed for ease of use.

Hope this helps
