Trouble

After starting up when I click on any program to open I
find a black screen pops up behind and disappear very
quickly and computer does not do any thing and remains in
same state as it was before clicking. I captured the
black screen the title of the screen is "start
menu\programs\startup\winocx32.exe".The message it
contains inside the message area is "cannot find
file 'menu\programs\startup\winocx32.exe'(or one of its
components. Check to ensure the path and the file name
are". I have no idea why it is happening. I can not run
any file. I tried to run msconfig but same screen
appeared and disappeared. I can not even shutdown my
computer. Is there any body who can help me in this
matter?

Everything I've found suggests you have the W32 PROTORIDE virus.....

Might want to grab yourself a copy of F-Prot for DOS (freeware) and run a
virus scan ;o)

Thank you for your assistance. I visited the site you
asked me to visit. But the problem is when i try to down
load F-prot for dos zip file it does not fit in floppy it
is way bigger than 1.44mb. In this connection it would be
worth mentioning that at present I access internet
through community centre as i can not run my computer. I
would appreciate if you can help me in resolving the
problem. Looking forward to receiving your valuable
advice.
