Default Explorer Comments Preview

How do you restore the ability for Windows Explorer to display folder
comments? The webview will still preview pictures and the free/used space on
the hard drives but does not show folder comments (like the one that is
built-in for My Documents). It won't show my custom folder comments either.

I went into Folder Options and unchecked "hide protected system files" and
checked "show hidden files and folders" to verify that the HTT folder
comments are still in there. They just aren't showing up.

Sometimes this happens when Windows gets an update or program it doesn't
like. Explorer gets corrupted, sometimes worse than this, where it loses all
HTML web view. At least I still have picture preview and some web view
now.The only ways I know how to fix this are a system restore or Windows
reinstall. Is there is an easy, less drastic fix such as editing the
registry? Thanks.
