Default Flickering screen

My screen has started to flicker. Is there any correction I can make to
prevent this?
PC has Win98SE

hi

Please check if u have placed PC speakers next to the
moniter. It can cause the screen to flicker. Also check if
there is any electronic device placed near to your
computer eg Microwave, cellphone,stereo speakers etc.Also
the following can affect the screen:

1. Halogen desk lamps,especially those with dimmers.

2. Any electrical dimmer switch.

3. Electronic insect electrocution devices (bug zappers).

4. Low quality 900MHz cordless telephones.

5. Any other emitter of high frequency electromagnetic
radiation.

Thanks for you help. I did have speakers near and also a halogen lamp. Have
changed their position and all well again
