Help me out, plz!

Ever since I tried to repair my internet explorer every
time I try to start my computer all that comes up is my
desktop background, no start menu, no icons... I can't do
anything except ctrl, alt, delete. And I can find the
Windows 98 boot CD-Rom, only the floppy disk which wont
do anything. If anybody as any suggestions please email

This can be caused by some sort of spyware.
The steps in this article should fix the empty desktop.
