Default reinstalling win 98

I just formatted my HD. I installed my quickrestore CD and got an error Msg
"please contact Compaq Service of your Dealer." Did I miss a step?

Since the Quick Restore CD was created by Compaq, you should contact them
about this message. This CD is intended to restore your computer with the
programs that originally shipped on the system.

If you reformatted because of a problem with the system, this might also be
an indication that the problem is a hardware issue, not a software problem.

You can go to this page and see a link to Chat with or email a support
specialist who should be able to answer your question.
