Default Computer hangs ehen trying to read PDF documents online

When I go to a website such as Ancestry.com or the TIAA financial site and
try to look at forms or documemnts that use the PDF format the screen just
sits there and computer hangs. I have to power off.
I have Adobe Reader 6.00 updated and use Win 98 SE. Any clues as to what is
wrong?? Thanks

what kind of internet connection are you useing dial up or DSL? If it is Dial up it maybe a large PDF file tring to load. If that is the case it will appear to hang.

Hi Helen, if you are using a dial up connection it can take ten to fifteen
minutes to download a pdf file, sometimes even longer! you just have to be
patient!!
